Route to perform at any time of the year. Ideal circuit to start in the world of the trail, with sections of asphalt and forest track, and some sectors of paths without technical difficulty. We will be very careful to cross the Merdàs River through Campdevànol footbridge, in times of rain the water of the river passes over it.

We will pay special attention to the entrance road section of Campdevànol respecting pedestrians, the urban sections will always run along the sidewalk.

We will start the circuit in front of the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda, at the Sports Technification Center, and following the route track we will cross Ripoll ahead to the Monastery (Heritage of Unesco) and we will arrive at the Font del Sant (tables and leisure area) before starting the stretch of the Camí Ral.

We will enter the historic Camí Ral through a stretch of pavement, which will soon begin to glide, and without difficulties will take us to Campdevànol. We will carry out a long asphalted stretch, first with a lot of caution on the road, and later on the side of the Gombrén road until you cross the railway. Once we have passed the path, we turn left, and in a gentle descent, we will arrive at the Barri de la Creu, where we will leave the asphalt just before crossing the Merdàs River.

At this point we will start a sector where we will alternate paths and forest tracks, but in all cases without any technical difficulty, which will take us to Mas Vilar and the Font de Tòtil leisure zone.

This asphalted trail will take us directly to Ripoll, ahead of the Mossos d’Esquadra Police Station, to enter the old town of Ripoll and arrive at the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda through the greenway of the Ruta del Ferro (Iron Route).

WATER.- All services at the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda. Font del Sant source in the first km. Font del Tòtil source in the last km. We will cross some refreshing torrents and rivers.

Tour to perform at any time of the year. In summer we will enjoy a lot of shade in much of the route. In winter, we will monitor the shady areas because of the possibility of finding ice.

We will start the circuit in front of the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda (the Technification Sports Center), where we will cross the road to take the first meters along the Camí Ral direction Sant Joan de les Abadesses. Just to pass the road below, we will find a path that goes straight ahead and will leave us in a few meters on the track that we will follow then on the ascent.

After a zig-zag on the ascent, on our left we will find the entrance to a path, which always tends to rise, first for meadow and later for a well-defined path, will lead us to the highest elevation, where we will enjoy privileged views of Serra Cavallera, with its peaks over 2000m high.

We will begin the descent by turning left, practically always by path following the track, which will lead us to the Ermita de San Bartolomé, an historical point of the town of Ripoll, from where we will have a spectacular view of the surroundings of the town.

Once in the hermitage, we will go back down the route following the green and white painted marks on an entertaining path, and after going through Can Salomó and Mas Avellaneda, two farms in ruins, to the exit point, where we will arrive at the back of the Sports Center again,

WATER.- All services at Pavelló de l’Avellaneda.

Route to perform at any time of the year, except for the days after heavy snowfall. From Sant Roc, in a circuit that will not make us move away at any time from the nucleus, we can enjoy magnificent views of Ripoll.

We will start the route in front of the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda, the Sports Technification Center, and following the route track we will cross Ripoll behind the Monastery, through streets full of history that will take us to the source named Font dels Sants, where we will change the streets by the dirt road of Camí Ral.

We will follow it for about a kilometer, just as we divide the first buildings of the industrial park, we will turn right into a gentle ascent. The path will take us to the left of La Querola, and quickly, into the woods, it will take to the hermitage of Sant Roc, where we will arrive after a first stretch of gentle descent.

From this point, the views of Ripoll are spectacular, and it’s worth it to stop for a moment. Now, following the PR (green and white), we will begin the descent by path, with a forest track link that will take us back to the starting point, first by Mas Palou, and after by an asphalted section, where we will cross the Ter River by a bridge before reaching the greenway.

WATER.- All services at the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda. Font dels Sants at the first km.

We will start the road in front of the Pavelló de l’Avellaneda, the Sports Technification Center, where we will cross the road to take the first meters along the Camí Ral towards the old town, cross the Freser River and then enter a path, initially cemented, which by path will take us to the leisure area of Font d’en Jordana, where we will find water.

At this point we turn left, following the green and white marks, and we will start the ascent, with a first fairly straight sector, which gradually softens until we make a turn to the right, in a section that we will also take down, and that climbs again to pass through the Rosa dels Vents (Rose of the Winds), a splendid viewpoint, which is worth a small stop.

We will continue climbing to a landing, where we will leave the PR to turn right and enter the leafy beech grove of Catllar, with sections where it seems that the light does not enter, which glides through the slope of the mountain until to leave us on a track that will continue, always on the way up to the hermitage of Santa Maria del Catllar, where we will find the small chapel and ruins of the old hermitage, as well as the characteristic antenna of telecommunications that is shown practically from all over the region.

We started the descent following the green and white marks, which will soon lead us to pass again by Rosa dels Vents, this time of descent, and shortly after, we will leave the signpost to make a turn to the right, which continues descending, will take us to the streets of a future urbanization, which serve as a good viewpoint of Vila de Ripoll. We will see some stairs to our left that will leave us in the streets of the village, and following the track will take us to cross the Calatrava Bridge and the Paseo de la Estación to return to the starting point for the Ruta del Ferro (Iron Route).
