INTRODUCTION:

This is a training camp designed for all lovers of long distance and technology applied to endurance sports.
During the weekend you can acquire new knowledge to improve your training and, consequently, your sports performance.
You will probably contact and use a potentiometer for the first time to run and analyze the data using the computer and the TrainingPeaks application. This will allow you to better evaluate the charge of the competitions, plan your training better and obtain better results.
Futhermore, you can also try out the latest Lurbel and Inov-8 new products in Encamp’s Open Trail Races competitive circuits, where you can train « as if you were wearing a bib ».
It will be a very intense weekend in which we will train using the circuits of The Trail Zone, enjoying the paradise of the mountains that surround the parish of Encamp and where you can ask and learn as much as you want about the latest trends in technology applied to training and the trail running.

PROGRAM

FRIDAY 12

07:00 Reception and chek-in at the Hotel Paris.

09:00 Dinner together

22:00 Presentation of the program and delivery of the bag with gifts from the sponsors and test material (Lurbel vest and Inov-8 trail running shoes).

SATURDAY 13

06:30 Guided low intensity trail running (optional).

08:00 Breakfast at the hotel and groups configuration (A and B).

From 9 to 13 hours:

A Group:
Guided trail running on one of the medium distance circuits of The Trail Zone Encamp.

B Group:
Delivery of the potentiometers, presentation of the sensor, associated applications and linkage with the training devices.
Performance of functional power threshold tests and configuration of work zones.
Practical application of the potentiometer in training and competition.
Analysis of the data in the computer.

14:00 Lunch.

15:30 Break

From 5 to 8 pm:

Group A:
Delivery of the potentiometers, presentation of the sensor, associated applications and linkage with the training devices.
Performance of functional power threshold tests and configuration of work zones.
Practical application of the potentiometer in training and competition.
Analysis of the data in the computer.

B Group:
Guided trail running on one of the medium distance circuits The Trail Zone Encamp.

9:00 PM Dinner

SUNDAY 14

06:30 Guided trail running of low intensity.

08:00 Breakfast at the hotel

From 9 to 10.30:

Presentation of the Trainingpeaks tool for the registration, prescription and control of training and competitions.
Resolution of doubts about the potentiometer and the Trainingpeaks application.

From 10.30 to 12 VK Encamp Open Trail Races

From 12 to 13.30 Relax in the Sports Complex of Encamp

14:00 Lunch.

16:00 Closing Training Camp.

RECOMMENDATIONS

You must bear in mind that the training will take place in a high mountain environment and that this requires carrying a minimum recommended or mandatory material according the weather:

  • Windbreaker or rain jacket
  • Water reserve (minimum 1 liter)
  • Food for Saturday training (4h)
  • Tubular scarf
  • Cap
  • Sunglasses
  • Gloves
  • Thermal clothing
  • Sunscreen cream

For this training camp, we recommend you to carry a laptop with you, in order to analyze the data collected by the potentiometer during training.
