ELS 4 POBLES ROUTE – BOÍ TRAIL RUNNING CENTER
Circular route that, with departure and arrival in Boí, links the towns of Boí, Durro, Barruera and Erill la Vall following the traditional valley bottom paths. It is an ideal route to start in trail running, both due to the distance and the technical difficulty of the route. The route belongs to the Boí Valley Trail Center and is fully signposted, the use of GPS is practically unnecessary to do it. In this case we will follow the route marked with number 1.
The itinerary leaves from the square of the church of San Joan de Boí where we will find the panel with the information of all the circuits. Taking the Camino del Pago we will start the first ascent that will take us along a path with excellent views of the valley, crossing a spectacular stone slope and that will lead us to Durro. From Durro the route descends to Barruera directly into the forest along a comfortable and fun path. From the Palanca Vieja de Barruera we will continue along the path to Erill, which, going up the banks of the river and combining sections of track and path, runs through the Planes. After a gentle climb on a traditional path, you reach Erill. From Erill to Boí you follow the path between the two towns, which in its first section descends to the river Noguera de Tor. After crossing the footbridge over the river, all that left is to make a short ascent through the forest until reaching Boí again.
Pay attention to the 150 m stretch of road that we find at the entrance to Barruera and at the junction of the L-500 road between Erill and Boí.
