We’ll start from the parking area in front of the Town Hall and take the street on the right, then quickly turn left towards the Ebro River. Until km 6.8, we’ll travel the greenway (Via Verda) along the riverbank, then leave it by turning right to change direction for about 3 km on the Migjorn road. We’ll take the track that leads us near the Bassa de la Platjolla, to shortly arrive at the Eucaliptus residential area, km 16. We’ll follow the coastline for 4.5 km, and when we see the sea on both sides, we’ll turn right onto the Poblenou del Delta Salines Road. Depending on the time of year, we’ll enjoy the sight of a large number of birds as we pass near La Tancada lagoon. 6.5 km later, we’ll be in Poblenou del Delta, which we’ll cross through its beautiful streets and pass in front of the Town Hall and the Church of Mare de Déu de la Cinta. We’ll leave the village via Camí del Través to cross the Encanyissada lagoon, where birdwatching will be very easy. We’ll take a left onto the Circumvalation Road, and soon we’ll arrive at the tourist area of La Casa de Fusta, where the Ornithological Museum is located. In this part of the route, we’ll find several observation towers, providing an elevated view to facilitate bird watching. Briefly, we’ll follow Camí de les Casetes, which we’ll leave to turn right and then left to follow for just over 2 km the well-marked line of the wide irrigation canal. We’ll leave it to continue along Camí dels Pescadors and follow the Lligalló de Balada, a secondary channel that will lead us directly to the core of Balada, which we’ll cross to find the Via Verda that we’ll follow downstream of the Ebro River. Upon arriving at the boarding area of Sant Jaume d’Enveja, we’ll turn right and decisively enter the village via Avinguda de l’Ebre and finally take, on the left, Avinguda Catalunya, which will leave us in front of the Town Hall.

This route is completely suitable for cycling and will introduce us to the Delta, some of its villages, the world of bird watching, the rice fields, and the typical lagoons of the area.

Note: If we encounter a stretch of road and are on foot, we will always walk on the left and with great caution. Special attention should be paid when crossing a road.
